Poirot - "the Evil Voice Never Lies"

Post by Gmemg » Tue Dec 12, 2017 3:12 pm

It was mentioned here a little while ago by, i think , Rob that he like the Agatha Christie TV adaptations, well so do i, from the Improbably updated films starring Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple , to the BBC TV Series starring Joan Hickson and the pedantically precise Poirot with David Suchet .

The problem is that if you watch too many of these you soon notice certain , well, repetitions, and slack re - writing that isn't there in the original books !

The wonderful Comedians Mitchell & Webb or their writers have also noticed this and produced a wonderful and Hilarious sketch, yes the Murderer when revealed, does use "Ze Evil Voice" and if a Woman, their "balcon" does seem to enlarge ! it is so regrettable that a Crapophone also features int he sketch - which can be seen here :

Corruption in the CLPGS :
The Seven Social Sins are:
Wealth without work. Pleasure without conscience. Knowledge without character .Commerce without morality. Science without humanity. Worship without sacrifice. Politics without principle.

Money. Greed. Naivety. Falsehoods. Exploitation. Welcome to the wonderful world of gramophones!
