"Decca 10" Joint Command Wartime Portable

Post by Gmemg » Mon Dec 11, 2017 8:11 pm

This is an odd and rather unusual machine owned by "The Squire" - a "Decca 10" - something i would normally think of as a 1950's Two -Tone machine with rounded ends - but here with the embossed "JC" letters indicating a "joint Command" machine

Normally "JC"Plates are found in late HMV 102's and , in fact i;'ve never seen another on any other machine until this one - presumably available to the Forces during the last War and NOT actually Black as the pcitures indicate but a sort of Very dark Military Green

the top - with embossed lettering

and open -

showing the two metal clips under which later Decca Needle tins will slide and the no 10 badge
