EMG Treasury of Music Records 1935

Post by Gmemg » Mon Dec 11, 2017 7:16 pm

Here's an announcement from "The Gramophone" magazine from 1935 , it's advertising the first of the EMG record series - a very short lived venture, EMG later became the sole concessionaires for "L'anthologie Sonore" the EMG series are described as having "Lilac Labels" and indeed the label has black printing on a sort of very light lilac ground !

I assume these recordings are actually from L'anthologie Sonore pressings

and the EMG record label

Corruption in the CLPGS :
The Seven Social Sins are:
Wealth without work. Pleasure without conscience. Knowledge without character .Commerce without morality. Science without humanity. Worship without sacrifice. Politics without principle.

Money. Greed. Naivety. Falsehoods. Exploitation. Welcome to the wonderful world of gramophones!
