HMV Suffragette advert C 1911?

Post by Gmemg » Mon Dec 11, 2017 6:57 pm

This is an hilarious advert - actually a cartoon which i found an a very battered copy of "punch" - i found this in a dustbin at a bookshop i frequent - the owner had dumped iit as it was missing it's covers and most of the outer pages and was just rubbish - oddly as i pulled the volume out it fell open at this page so i saved it - it'a a very clever cartoon of Politicians of the day including Lloyd - George going into parliament with , if you look carefully a Suffragette chained to the railings !

i also show the reverse of the page to show the wonderful adverts
