"Natural Needles" From "The Sound Box " 1920

Post by Gmemg » Tue Dec 12, 2017 2:46 pm

Here's an article i found in the Journal of the Liverpool Gramophone Society dated 1920, it discusses using Hawthorn Needles as fibre needles - i have never tried this but would be interested to hear if others have.

I did laugh about "using needles from the side of the hedge away from the Prevailing wind" that's the sort of tosh they print in the Hillandale Newts - Mutatis Mutandis !

Wealth without work. Pleasure without conscience. Knowledge without character .Commerce without morality. Science without humanity. Worship without sacrifice. Politics without principle.

Money. Greed. Naivety. Falsehoods. Exploitation. Welcome to the wonderful world of gramophones!
