This is an Odd but interesting cylinder - "imperial March" Composed and performed by the Composer Mr Walter Hornby of Droylesden near Manchester it's rather "handelian" in inspiration so i put it on U - Tube BUT there it became more interesting here's what i've been told

Walter William Hornby, Professor of Music and organist, living at 340 Fairfield Road, Droylsden, at the time of the census in 1901. By 1911 he was Professor of Music, organist and bandmaster. living at 21 Fairfield Square, Droylsden.

Born in 1868, he died at 21 Fairfield Square on Christmas Eve 1917, leaving the princely sum of £231 9s 1d to his wife, Jane Louise. Jane lived on until 1949.

One of his granddaughters was the last woman to be hanged in the UK - Ruth Ellis
