"Steptoe & Son" gramophone Episode

Post by Gmemg » Tue Dec 12, 2017 3:18 pm

I heard this programme this evening whilst sorting records prior to dressing for dinner - to hear the Steptoe's fighting over records which then must have been very common is hilarious !

it's odd that Harold calls his "stereo" system a gramophone when it's not and is obviously playing LPs but when Albert discovers a Horn gramophone in the Yard and wants to play his 78s it becomes a competition !

I thought the Radio Steptoe's were not worth listening to but to - night i've changed my opinion

Wealth without work. Pleasure without conscience. Knowledge without character .Commerce without morality. Science without humanity. Worship without sacrifice. Politics without principle.

Money. Greed. Naivety. Falsehoods. Exploitation. Welcome to the wonderful world of gramophones!
