"The Story of Gilbert & Sullivan" (1953)

Post by Gmemg » Tue Dec 12, 2017 2:51 pm

During the long Vac at school i would watch some wonderful old films - BBC 2 would show Laurel & Hardy in the Morning and usually a Great Old Ealing Comedy or one of the Films made in the UK during the 1950's

One such was "the Story of Gilbert & Siullivan" (1953) in which not only the story of the Collaboration is told but also some really well staged re - creations from the Operettas - amazingly the DVD isn't available BUT if you contact the U - Tube channel where the clip below from "Trial by Jury" (with a very Young Looking Geo Baker) is shown he will sell you a copy as he did to me !
