Radio "Soul Music"

Post by Gmemg » Mon Dec 11, 2017 1:18 pm

Soul music is an excellent Radio 4 programme which features the history and appreciation of a particular piece of music , it could be Classical, Pop, Religious, instrumental - anything which appeals, this episode was a wonderful one about the song "mad about the Boy" written and often sung by Noel Coward , they discuss it's history and the very different performances available and discover a lost 5th verse !

it's here :

There are 17 episodes available on music as varied as Widor's Toccata, Finlandia, Stand by me, Swing Low Sweet Chariot so it's well worth looking for
Estott : "An Ancient Half - Mad Uncle "
